A CHOSEN GENERATION WEEK FOUR
R U Willing?
SCRIPTURE: 1 Chronicles 28:9 “And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve Him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts” (NIV).
PRAY: Ask God to reveal to you any areas where you have not been willing to surrender to Him.
READ: 1 Peter 2:13-25
FOCUS: It seems that the better that you are at the things of life, the harder that it is to even see the need to be willing to surrender to God. Victory and success can be used to make us think that God is really for the weak who cannot achieve victory on their own strength. When we allow those types of thoughts to begin to creep in, we forget that God will give us some successes to see if we will be faithful with them so that He can give us greater successes. God does not ask us to be faithful with only property and wealth. He asks us to be faithful with His gifts of talent.
1. Are you willing to submit more to your parents, coaches, and teachers on a daily basis, than you are to the Lord in life?
2. What makes you willing to surrender to God in some cases and not in others?
3. What will it take for you to totally surrender to God and trust Him in all areas of your life?
PRAY: Ask God to give you the strength of courage and mind to be willing to surrender to Him and serve Him in all that you do.
