A CHOSEN GENERATION WEEK TWO
R U Able?
SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 6:11 “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes” (NIV).
PRAY: Give thanks for all that God has made you able to do and the strength that He has given you.
READ: Ephesians 4:17 – 5:14
FOCUS: Being able to do things for God’s Kingdom is a double-edged sword. On one hand we are thankful and feel exhilaration when we are able to do things, especially when we excel at them. Yet, it is all too easy to get wrapped up in the winning or the honors, and we begin to think that we are important and that it really is our own strength. God may be honored in victory and defeat. The choice is really up to us. It is important to remember that a victory in the eyes of God may not resemble a victory in the eyes of man.
1. Do you really feel and believe that your strength is from God or due to your hard work and effort?
2. If we are able to do all things through Christ, why do we fall short sometimes and not win everything?
3. What is the most important thing that you should be able to do?
PRAY: Ask God to confirm in your heart that you are able to do all things that He calls you to do because of His strength and not yours. Pray also for God to show you how He is honored in what appears to be a defeat to others.
